Trying to catch a falling knife - VNET

So going into the day after the HUGE sell off on VNET yesterday from low 20's to tapping 14, I thought it would bounce today. I started in a bit too heavily 1/2 (misreading a chat call. I may have not nourished myself with enough rest the night before and mentally not 100% there lately) This led me to mismanage my position and in reality, had no concrete plan. Before going into a 'successful' trade I ALWAYS have a concrete point where I will cut my position in half or fully depending on how the stock is acting. This allows me to have relatively small losses and conviction in a trade.
I had an average of 17.22 and sold for a loss around high mid 16's. May not seem like a lot but remember, going into the trade, I had no plan and no set stopping point. As a result I traded out of fear.

GOOD
None

BAD
No set plan.
No set stopping point.
Started in TOO early
Revenge traded/trying to make a bad trade work.
Mismanaged my loss/took a BAD loss. I consider a losing trade without a plan beforehand, a bad loss.
Tried catching a falling knife play, this NEVER works for me. I will stay away from trying to pick the bottom in the future.

IMPROVE
At this, I have no plans on trying to improve/add this play to my repertoire.
Only improvement I can take away from this is only take trades once concrete plans are set and to stay away from these type of trades.
